The story of Katie & Baker could not have come to life without Katalin Gyenge, or as everyone knows her, Katica. Her dream has come true, as she always believed: “The essence of our work is to provide the highest quality with a pinch of love for our customers, so they are satisfied and return to us.” This care, love, and dedication permeate every one of our products.

Since 1991, Katica has been leading Pékmester Biscuits Kft., a family business in Balatonkenese, which under her guidance has become known for its high-quality artisanal products.

From here, the Katie & Baker brand was also born, producing English-style biscuits and other bakery delicacies made from premium quality, handcrafted ingredients. Over the years, we have always kept quality in focus, and one thing we have never compromised on is taste. With a continuous commitment to sustainability, we seek out the best ingredients, which we combine with innovative methods, production lines, and the most modern technology to create the finest products.

Thinking of every member of the family, we created the FreeScuits brand for those who cannot enjoy our traditional products. In our allergen-free factory in Lepsény, we produce gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free, and palm oil-free biscuits in various flavors, which are also fully vegan. We do not compromise on the selection of ingredients or technology, as our customers’ satisfaction and quality are our top priorities.

Although Katica did not originally plan to become a master baker, her diligence and dedication have made her one of the most respected figures in the industry.
